It's that time of year...

Well boys and girls, it is that time of the year again. CHRISTMAS TIME. Christmas is by far my favorite holiday so it is only fitting that I enjoy the Christmas lights. Every year in Southaven on Tchulahoma they have Southern Lights. It started back up on Thanksgiving Day and will be available until December 31. This 116 acre park is filled with more than 500,000 lights. To top it off, the lights play to a certain Christmas station while you drive through. It is always so fascinating and I can't wait until I get the chance to drive through this year.

My Book Review

As you can tell from my last post, I do not read books that often. It takes a lot for me to actually get into a book. One of my favorite tv shows is Dexter. I have seen all the seasons and wondered where they got this idea from. So when I googled it, I figured out it was from a book series by Jeff Lindsay. With loving the tv series, I decided to give the books a try. When I started the first book I was a bit scared it was going to be different from the show. I soon realized it is almost identical! The tv show did a great job in making it just like the book. Don't get me wrong, there were a couple things that weren't the same but for the most part it was all alike. The book was also very interesting. With already watching the show, I kind of knew what to expect but the book showed a different perspective. I also enjoyed how the book tends to give a little bit more of a background than the show reveals. Although I enjoyed the book, it also has a negative side to it. For instance the show gets to actually show you everything for your own eyes instead of painting the picture for you. At times it seemed to drag on somethings that did not seem important to me. It could have just came out and said what it meant. Overall I really liked this book and would recommend both the book and TV series of Dexter.

When I was only a couple months old I was exposed to traveling. With living approximately 1,500 miles away from family, my mom, dad, brothers, and I would be on the go every holiday. Still to this day I enjoy the thrill of traveling and exploring new cities. Nothing makes me happier than being on the road with family or friends just to take an adventure. Traveling will always be a big part of my life and I will forever cherish it.
